Secret Pumpkin Swap with SBS

Yay!
Today we get to share our goodies that we received from our swap partners for the pumpkin swap!  I have been waiting absolutely ages to do this!

My swap partner was Holly Hughes in the USA.

And here is the lovely Halloween card she sent me :) Isn't it lovely ?

And here is a picture showing the goodies she sent!  I am so in love with the paper pad i just love purple!

Now i have to admit i did enjoy the sweets or as you U.S ladies say candy and i loved most of them although there was a couple that made my face go like a prune, all scrunched up and twisted lol.  Guess they were a bit sharp!

Monochrome at Scrappers Delights and my first DT make with them

Hi there!

It is definitely Autumn here as the leaves are creating some beautiful colours....i so love this time of year especially the crisp mornings.
I had some really great news last week and now i can actually blurt it out officially....
I was asked by Scrappers Delights to join their challenge DT team!  to say i was over the moon would be a understatement...so happy dance finished with i managed to get on with this weeks challenge.

Scrapper's Delights Challenge Blog

So over at Scrappers Delights today the chalenge is monochrome.  Whats that mean exactly?  Just pick a colour any colour i went with earth tones in E30, 33, 35, 39  and stuck to those for the whole colouring process....its that easy...or is it?

I was chose the lovely Honey Anime image to use.  She is new, cute and comes in two versions, either with a pumpkin or dressed in a tunic dress like i chose to use.

Scrappers Delights

So here is my first debut with Scrappers Delights as a DT member i hope i did ok as i always find monochrome challenging.

I wanted to keep the card fairly straight forward and not too busy so i matted and layered some papers onto a kraft blank, added some lace, a doily, a diecut circle that i distressed.  And last but not least a couple of metal embellishments.

I am entering the following challenges with this project

A random fan - monochrome
Scribble and scrap - anything goes
Paper take weekly - anything goes
Word art Wednesday - anything goes
Love to scrap - anything goes

I hope you like what i have done and would love for you just to give me a little love by commenting on my blog.

Thanks!

Scrappers Delights freebie

Hi there!

Did you all get the freebie from Scrappers Delights called funky Ashley? Yay i did!!  And she is so cute!!

And don't forget if your a Facebook member there is 30% of your orders!

Scrappers Delights

Here she is cute huh?

And here is my version of Funky Ashley.....

It did not matter what i did with the balloons they just seem a little washed out even though they are a little glittery.  Funky Ashley is a cute digi and i LOVE the spiky hair so i thought i would try a different hair colour combo for a change.  I used V 20, 22, 25 and BV 08 and 17....kinda cool right?

I then teamed her up with a green combo for her clothing....thought it would make a change to have contrasting colours that almost clash....and it was good going outside my comfort Zone.

Colour combos are as follows:

Hair V 20, 22, 25 BV 08 and 17
Hairband YG 21, 23, 25 with gold dots
Skin E 000, 00, 01, 11 R 20 cheeks
Clothes YG 21, 23, 25, Y 13, 15, 17 and 19
Shoes Y 13, 15, and 17
Socks E 40, 41 and 42
Background T 0, 2, 4 V 000, 00 ,2. 4

Thanks for looking

A tag with Scrappers Delights and TTPHC #61

This week over at TTPHC

Through The Purple Haze Challenges

We had to use a tag and we were sponsored by the lovely Scrappers Delights!

Scrappers Delights

I am using Genie 1 this week for our tag challenge she is so versatile and i had to cut some of the elements out to make her large or should i say small enough to fit onto a tag.

So i used some lovely papers from my scrap box and then used some peach coloured lace.  Added a little  bit of ribbon to hang the tag with and a handmade butterfly and bling embellishment ( really easy to make) and she was done!  As easy as it should have been it was harder colouring to a smaller scale than i had first realized

Any how there you have my first tage ever decorated with the same theme front and back!

Charlie is 8 today!!

Aww my last baby in the nest is 8 today!

Well i say baby but he isn't so little anymore....and well as will all of us mums they will always be our babies no matter what age they are...

Being a complete Ben 10 addict i thought i would have trouble finding an image but i managed to find one and her it is......don't worry this was for personal use only for my sone and will not be used in any way, shape or form again.

So here is the birthday boy camping this year...

Yes! in the paddling pool and as with most boys posing and messing around lol..mind you it was one of the hottest summers since i was pregnant with him and he spent a LOT of time in water during this summer.

And here is his birthday card...although i had trouble with his hair as i had to try and make it like THE REAL BEN 10 i didn't do too bad a job of it...well i don't think so any way..

I used some perfect pearls and cosmic shimmer on the bubbles.....and i think he will love it although for some reason i am rather nervous?

So to my little miracle ( and yes he was a miracle as i supposedly couldn't have any more children due to previous complications) Happy happy birthday darling....love you loads...

How much?.....to the moon and back

 xx

Have a wonderful birthday Charlie!

The stamping Chef and a few faux stitches at TTPHC this week

Well its been a while since my last post due to commitments springing out of the wood work which has sadly taken me away from my crafting......but hopefully next week everything will be back to normal and my post wont be so short and sweet.

This week The Stamping Chef is sponsoring us over at TTPHC.

The theme is real or faux stitches and this is what i came up with this week.

This lovely digi is called the artist and she was rather challenging to colour with that curly hair!

I made the wooden scrabble tiles into celebrate  sentiment.  Faux stitching around the outside of the green card that makes up the base and on the fabric.

Lacy Sunshine and Anything goes

Hi there...Well this week over at TTPHC we have an anything goes challenge for you...so nice and easy and just right to ease you all in after the frantic school holidays!  It so good to have the children back to school or nearly...mind you i have to say i did enjoy spending a lot of time with my son and he has been fabulous...not once did i hear i'm bored what can i do?....music to my ears...

This week we had the lovely Lacy Sunshine sponsoring us....and the whole DT had a new image each!

This lovely little girl sat in her basket is Kenli forget me nots flower pot pretty

I had so much fun colouring this little lovely!  I just had to make her into a beautiful birthday card but the peg sentiment can be removed and reused to change it to something else...so pretty versatile.

I used some lovely burgundy coloured papers with a mid range blue to complement the image colours and i matted and layered them....you will see i added two different paper doilies a little bit of pearl bling and an accordion flower....i love these...

Hope you like my DT make and if you ever want colour combos just holler!
