Here come the girls

Hi there and welcome!

We have another lovely challenge for you ladies and gent this week at

Here come the girls!

So here is my creation this week for them.

I was lucky to use Crafty sentiments

So i hope you like her

I grabbed a shaped card and added a April Rose backing paper and the ran Annabel through the good old Big Shot using the die  Spellbinders A2 locking loops and i have to say it was difficult and had to run it through three or four times before it completely cut mainly both ends the sides buts perfectly first time would you believe?

i then found a card heart and i then decided to use a Brilliance ink pad in Orchid on the edge of the locking loops, over the heart tuning it all pink and shiny and then over the shaped side of the card.

I then put a pink ribbon across the middle behind my image and added a lovely acrylic flower.

I then finished of by using a pink backing paper inside the card and use a Visable Image Happy Birthday sentiment....i have a great weakness for their sentiment stamps and have quite a few of them.

These are the following Copic combinations i used

Hair YR 21,23, 24, 27
Skin R 01 E 000, 00, 01
Hat,Dress and shoes R 81,83, 85, 89/R 30,32/ E 40, 42
Buckets E 23, 25, 29/ YR 21, 29
Pumpkin YR 14, 16, 18
Skulls T 0, 2. 4

I would like to enter into the following challenges:

So the papers from stash mainly DCWV
Green ribbon around the outside with stick on bats and i used stick on embellishments from my Halloween swap box this year. I really loved the Diamante  webs and the crystal black spiders that actually dangled from them.

I also used a pice of green pearlescent card that came from an offer at Paper Mill Direct which i used the Tim Holtz edge rougher on round the edges.

One stitch at a time Anything goess #186

Hi there!

Its time for another challenge with Stitchy Bear and i am really excited as this is my first post as a DT member for One Stitch At A Time challenges so come on over and join in with the fun!

The theme this week is Anything goes

The prize for this week is from the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet and will be a  complete set of images that the DT used in challenge #184 and the runner up prize is $3 for a digi  but to win the prize you must use an image provided by the store.

Now my image is Steampunk digi set is by Coosty Creations  and to be totally honest i had never coloured a Steampunk image let alone a steam ship!  It was a set including digi papers called
Steampunk Sail Ship

So here is my idea of a Steampunk sailing ship!

So you can see i have used a paper mill card and turned it into an A5 card blank.  I have then  used two of the digital papers included with the pack and then mounted the ship on a piece of black card.
I finished it off with a few embellishments ...two metal cogs and a black anchor.

I used the following Copic Colour's to colour in the ship

Sails E 81, 84,87
Boat E 74, 71, 70 / E 53, 55, 57
Smoke E 40
Pipes Y 28, 26, 23

I also used a gold pen on certain area to highlight the pipes and gaps in the side of the ship.
I hope you will like my creation and hope you will be kind enough to leave me a little love.

I would like to enter into the following challenges with my card:

Challenges 4 everybody - anything goes
Opus Gluei - for the man in your life

Charlie's birthday card!

Hi there!

At the Through the Purple Haze Challenges this week

We are sponsored by the lovely Lacy Sunshine!

I had to share this card with you .....my son was 7 last week and he is so proud of the card i made him i promised i would put it on  my blog!
Now he loves dinosaurs and frogs as well as favourite colour being green!

So i think i did a pretty good job considering it was many different shades of greens!

Well i didn't do too bad i used a Paper mill A4 Kraft card and halved it into A5 card blank i then used some green paper with swirls on it from my stash to start layering.  I  then mounted the coloured digi image that i got from Lacy Sunshine and is called pickles dinosaur ride on to brown card and added to the card.

After that i had much fun and frustration trying to use my Cameo for about the fourth time to  print a CHARLIE border and a Happy Birthday  with a seven in the middle and backed it with the same brown card i used to mount the digi on.

So all in all not too bad.....

I used the following copics to colour in the image:

Body YG 91,93,95,97,99
Toes E27, 23
Spots Y 00, 35, 38
Eyes B60, 63, 66
Grass YG 21, 23, 25 /06, 07, 09
Sky B 000, 00, 01, 02

So as you see plenty of green and Charlie has already added this and the rest of the cards he received into the memory box that covers 24 years of every little memento or memory we want to remember.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make it Monday - anything goes

Indigo Blu and you know who at TTPHC

Hi there and welcome we have been lucky enough to be sponsored by Indigo Blu again.

Indigo Blu

And the girls at Through the Purple Haze Challenges have enjoyed working with these stamps!

I had the lovely poppy heart and to start with i bought a plain white sketch artist book designed for altering and at 160 gsm is quite good quality for Copic...so doesn't bleed like some others

I started by .spraying it with Xosmic Shimmer Spray Mists in Cosmic Raspberry, Twilight black,Candy pink and Lilac night. once i had impatiently waited for that to dry i added some glitter...i dont usually use glitter but i thought what the hey? why not! so i used Recollections glitter from my christmas buddy last year and used the raspberry, Muse and clear.

Now after that had all dried and set etc i coated it with a cheap hairspray to set it a bit better.

I then added my coloured my image and surrounded in pink and purple jewels.

I used Cosmic shimmer paints to paint the heart and to be honest the picture does not do it just . It is all soft coloured with a gorgeous sheen.

And last but not least i added to copper corners to the edge of the book and a hand made flower with a black ribbon behind it.....this lovely fabric flower was made by a very good friend for me.and i cant wait to get some more or start making my own they are awesome!

I hope you liked my creation and give you some inspiration and hopefully it wont take you two days to create yours! Thanks for visiting my blog and i look forward to you visiting again!

I would like to enter into the following challenges:

Marker pop - use your copics
Sparkle and sprinkle
Creative corner
The crafting cafe anything goes

Halloween with Just Inspirational Challenges

Hi there and welcome to our monthly challenge at

You will have to go to the site Just Inspirational Challenges  to see who our lovely sponsor is this month but i am sure it is someone pretty cool

I decided to go with Halloween and what does Halloween require? A witch of course!

Now not only is this my first DT posting for the new monthly challenge at JIC i was given the added hardship by a young lady requiring a card that i wouldn't be able to make one without using three papers, a border of some sort and three bits of embellishment but no bling? Well its a bit tame for me but see those stars all over her costume? well i managed to colour them in with gold pen and she didn't even notice! i mean how can you not add some type of bling? Well at least the bats and pumpkin are all velvety! so i managed to get a bit of bling, bling, bling into it!

So i chose Witchy Boo Betty

So i started with Paper Mill Direct black card and made it into an A5 card blank and then added an orange and blue piece of card from my stashand distressed the edges. The colours helped to  bring the colours in to more or less match in with my with as much as possible.
I then put Witchy Boo in prime place and then added a happy Halloween  K & C0 spooktacular  stick on border, and added my three embellishments of a pumpkin and two bats all velvety and from Jolee's which i wouldn't have had if not for my Halloween swap package i received.
So there we have it i met the criteria for that lovely little girl.

I used the following copic colours to colour her in:

Dress/hat  B 24,26,28,29 /B05, 06
Hair YR 21, 23,24, 27
Skin E 000.01, 00
Eyes  G 14, 16
Cat T 2, 4, 7, 9

I hope you like her

I would like to enter her into the following competitions:

#81 over at TTPHC and its an Anything Goes!

Good morning! Did you have a lovely weekend? Today over at Through the Purple Haze Challenges we are kicking off the week with #81 ...
