Two Hearts

Hi there i hope you are having a great day! i know i am or rather will be!

Have you ever started a project with a picture in your head of the finished project just so? well that how it started for me until i was hijacked!

The two hearts started off as two wooden hearts and i gave them two coats of coarse modelling paste, a spritz of cosmic shimmer in Pearl Mist, that gave them a lovely gentle sheen and then gently distressed them with gold versa mark ink.

I then used a couple of flower dies to make up paper flowers with a pearl center on both of them and added a ribbon rose at the bottom of each heart...now this is where i was hijacked by a young person whom i wont mention (bless him) who decided that rather than put Tilda on one heart and Edwin on the other he thought it would be much better with butterflies!  Yes you got it, butterflies!!

So there we go i have my creations but now as i thought they were likely to turn out......but i have to admit they do look kinda cute and now have pride of place on my bedroom wall.....after all who can resist a 6 year old who wanted to help his mum?

Walking stick with style....

Hi there everyone i would like to say what a gorgeous sunny morning it is but i would be telling a darn great big fib.....it is puring with rainn. YET AGAIN!

I have a very good friend who at the age of 46 found the necessity of having to use a walking stick!  I guess you can imagine what she had to say about that? Now way,no how....so......

Any way i made her a SPECIAL stick where i used three pages of paper in her favorite colours by My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2, ripped them to bits and then mod podged with three coats to make it really hard wearing.

In all truth and honesty i didn't think she would go for it, as she is a very independent person so i was pleasantly surprised to see her using it around town a week later!  I now have to do another three in brown, blue and green to match with different types of her clothing so i did get it right!

Now i just have to find another three sticks in the same design that wont cost the earth :-)

I started by painting and alterable box in blue Croco paint ( goes like crackled weathered paint) around the sides.

I then used K&CO speciality papers to cover the front and back of the box.

I added a Marianne Creatable LR0336 die and then added the Zella digi from Saturated Canary.  I then stuck on some rhinestones before giving the whole thing two coats of mod podge to protect it.

After drying i then added blue ribbon around the outside and a pearl string which i then finished off with a blue bow....i stuck everything down with red strong double sided adhesive roll.

Last by no means least  i added a small spray of blue and white flowers to the top right corner

Cinderella was defiantely good

I made cinderella from a Cinderella Saturated Canary digi image for a special birthday card and for the life of me at the moment i cant remember the copics used!

I will endeavor to find out as soon as possible....

Dare i say i was pleased the way this card came out i stamped the sentiment onto ribbon backed onto 3d foam i hand drew the tree myself (absolute miracle) and used My \minds Eye Wild Asparagus 6x6 paper pad, couple of yellow roses and distress the card using tea dye,dried marigold and wild sage distress ink pads. i used tiny flowers with a crystal in the middle for the flowers on the tree.
