Rick St Dennis and a Halloween theme at TTPHC

Hi there!

Its getting so close to Halloween and we thought what better way to usher it in than by having Rick St Dennis as our Halloween sponsor!

Original zibbet banner

He has lots of fantastic digis for Halloween.

Hop on over to TTPHC to have a look at the rest of the DT's makes.

I chose held aloft as my digi this time around as it reminded me of a program i really enjoy watching!

I started with a black card blank 6x6 and then matted red corrugated card onto it and then skull paper.   I added a bat border to the top and bottom which is all glittery and funky.  I backed my image onto another piece of red corrugated card and attached it to the card with foam tape to give it added dimension.  The bling followed to finish off the card.

I have to admit sat here looking at the photo i have just uploaded the lady looks a little washed out? May be i should have darkened her skin a little....the dragons really pop though.

Saying that i am holding the card in my hand and it looks a lot better than the photo!  Maybe just the autumn lighting even though i had lights on it?

Heres a close up of the lady i did her hair really neutral just and E 40,41,43 and i feel i should have darkened that as well but i wanted to focus on the dragons!  Oh well they say we are our own worst critique?

Dont forget to leave a little love if you can and i will do the same for you xx

Scrappers Delight - Anything goes with a twist of HALLOWEEN!

Halloween is on its way and Charlie cant wait to put up the decorations my lovely friend Lucy sent during the summerween swap in the summer.  bless him he has been champing at the bit since they arrived lol.

Now today i have a  lovely Halloween digi for you from the lovely Scrappers Delights.
Scrappers Delights

She is called Halloween Anna Mae 1 and she is kinda cute.

You can follow this link to the Scrappers Delights blog for the challenge!  It runs for two weeks so you have plenty of time to come along and join in!

I did have an issue with my orange copic....i was happily colouring the pumpkin and suddenly a gurt drop splodged onto the page!  I cleared it up as best as i can but hey she is done and i think she looks grand!

I loved colouring her hair, well i always do lol.  I used YR 21, 23, 24, and 27.  I kept the card simple and straight forward with no fancy die cutting. I just rounded the edges of the corners and mounted her onto orange and then black and orange spotted card from a Recollections Halloween pad.

I added the windmill Halloween flourish and the BOO banner and finished her off with a bit of boo ribbon and some black stick on pearls.

Now i know what you are going to think...hey you didn't finish colouring her the crass and stones are not done?  But i am ahead of you as i didn't want to colour that bit as i had given her a green cape and didn't want more green blending into it and taking away the effect that i actually liked.
Her cape is T 0, 2, 4 and 6 on the outside and the inner is a lovely green YG 02,06,08.
Dress is YG 00, 02, 04.

Any how i hope you like my inspiration this week for Scrappers Delights this week and i look forward to any comments! xx

Which is available NOW! Over at Scrappers Delights on the new releases page So pop over to Scrappers Delights website and have a looksee and maybe pick one or two for your digi collection.

You will also see some DT inspiration on the Scrappers Delight Facebook page.  Now i know for a fact that there will be giveaways, a competition and a few RAK's waiting to go to some lovely people so make sure you pop over to the Scrappers Delights Facebook page.....as you never know you may win some goodies!

Now onto my little bit of DT inspiration....i have to admit when i made it i was really unwell with a bug and i didn't feel it was up to scratch but i have been assured that it is and i am really hoping that you will like what i have made.

I started with a box...yes just a plain old box that i decided to doctor.  I covered in a pale pink paper all over including the bottom and then distressed with Tea Dye and Gathered Twig.

I then rand a lace and bead ribbon around the lid.  On the bottom half of the box i added white metal corners partially to make it look nicer and a little for added strength.

I then added a cluster of flowers and a couple of fir cones to two of the corners.

I then die cut out my image that i had coloured earlier and stuck her to the boxes lid and again around the edge of the die cut i added some matching flowers and a couple of metal snowflake charms.

I hope you like what i made and that maybe it gives you a few ideas of your own?

Many Thanks.

Monochrome at Scrappers Delights and my first DT make with them

Hi there!

It is definitely Autumn here as the leaves are creating some beautiful colours....i so love this time of year especially the crisp mornings.
I had some really great news last week and now i can actually blurt it out officially....
I was asked by Scrappers Delights to join their challenge DT team!  to say i was over the moon would be a understatement...so happy dance finished with i managed to get on with this weeks challenge.

Scrapper's Delights Challenge Blog

So over at Scrappers Delights today the chalenge is monochrome.  Whats that mean exactly?  Just pick a colour any colour i went with earth tones in E30, 33, 35, 39  and stuck to those for the whole colouring process....its that easy...or is it?

I was chose the lovely Honey Anime image to use.  She is new, cute and comes in two versions, either with a pumpkin or dressed in a tunic dress like i chose to use.

Scrappers Delights

So here is my first debut with Scrappers Delights as a DT member i hope i did ok as i always find monochrome challenging.

I wanted to keep the card fairly straight forward and not too busy so i matted and layered some papers onto a kraft blank, added some lace, a doily, a diecut circle that i distressed.  And last but not least a couple of metal embellishments.

I am entering the following challenges with this project

A random fan - monochrome
Scribble and scrap - anything goes
Paper take weekly - anything goes
Word art Wednesday - anything goes
Love to scrap - anything goes

I hope you like what i have done and would love for you just to give me a little love by commenting on my blog.

Thanks!

Scrappers Delights freebie

Hi there!

Did you all get the freebie from Scrappers Delights called funky Ashley? Yay i did!!  And she is so cute!!

And don't forget if your a Facebook member there is 30% of your orders!

Scrappers Delights

Here she is cute huh?

And here is my version of Funky Ashley.....

It did not matter what i did with the balloons they just seem a little washed out even though they are a little glittery.  Funky Ashley is a cute digi and i LOVE the spiky hair so i thought i would try a different hair colour combo for a change.  I used V 20, 22, 25 and BV 08 and 17....kinda cool right?

I then teamed her up with a green combo for her clothing....thought it would make a change to have contrasting colours that almost clash....and it was good going outside my comfort Zone.

Colour combos are as follows:

Hair V 20, 22, 25 BV 08 and 17
Hairband YG 21, 23, 25 with gold dots
Skin E 000, 00, 01, 11 R 20 cheeks
Clothes YG 21, 23, 25, Y 13, 15, 17 and 19
Shoes Y 13, 15, and 17
Socks E 40, 41 and 42
Background T 0, 2, 4 V 000, 00 ,2. 4

Thanks for looking
