Bettys Halloween Boo Hop UK

'Halloween Boo Hop - Cause we can do it too'!

Yes Betty just to show you that we brits can do a fabulous Boo hop

Morning/Afternoon/Evening all - well this has been a long time coming and its finally here - Now as you know there are a number of us around blogland that LOVE Simply B Stamps - but here in the UK Halloween is not something many people get into - so we have decided to do a special hop for the one and only Betty to show her that over here we are trying!!!

So welcome to the hop!

So glad your here!! Now if you have come from Katrina http://flutterbytrina.blogspot.co.uk  your on the right tracks - if not you need to pop back to Corinne's blog and start from the beginning!!

So i used papers from Glitz - Pretty in pink paper pad and cArt US Stylish paper pad. I loved the purples black ad greens as they went really well with my Simply Betty Stamps image Little Munster Lady. I then distressed the outer part of the image with cnady eyed chalks.
I then finished off the image with a little bit of black lace and four cobweb charms placed at the corners....i have to admit i dont enjoy doing halloween cards as inver have much crafty stuff covering halloween in thefirst place and i have to scummage about for bits and pieces.

The Two Candles Betty and Christian Addams

I had a lot of fun making these believe me!

So the colours i used on these two were:

Betty: Dress BV 23,25,29
Hair C5,7,8
Skin E0000, 00,01
Rose R17,85
Christian: Suit V20,22,25

Have a beautiful day

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card and i have to admit i have become a bit of a SBS addict of late!  Shame on you Betty for giving us such wonderful stamps!

I have made this card for a very special person for their birthday!

I used papers from First Edition called Blank Canvas as well as a Bo Bunny paper pad called Alora.
I used an SBS digital stamp called Rhi which i coloured in Copics.
I distress Inked the edges of Rhi with Tim Holtz Broken China.
I also bought these lovely butterfllies from Hazel Crafts (Ebay)
and finished it off with coloured gems and a hand written sentimet following the curve of the gems.  I think this card is going to be well received.

My very first posting on MMCS Challenge DT

Hi there and wlcome i am very very excited to welcome you today as this is my first posting as a member of My Mums Craft Shop Challenge DT crew.....so a very big hello and welcome!
This week we are sponsered by Di's Digi's and th theme is Tickets.

So today i have  a card depicting a lovely little digi stamp called swingtime by Di's Digi's.

I first started by colouring her in using Copics and then gently gave her a very light blue background and then distressed the edge of the card using Tim Holtz distress ink Spun Sugar.   I then found a lovely floral card pack by Cart US called Roses and mounted that onto my card blank followed by a pink piece of CoOrdinations card across the middle which i had already embossed using a  Darice embossing folder called Fall Leaf background and then gently sanded.  I then added lace to the top and bottom edge of the pink card.  I finished it off by adding my Di's digi stamp and three lovely paper flowers on the bottom right hand corner supporting my pink tickets saying Special friend and friends forever.

Well thats my first MMCS Challenge posting and i look forward to seeing what everyone does with their creations!

You will be glad to know that the  Copics, embossing folder, paper pack, Distress Ink and card blanks are all available from My Mums Craft Shop!

For the boys

Why is it that making a boys card is so hard?

There is so much embellishing you can do for a girl but when it comes to a boy i a totally stumped sometimes....crafters block!

Okey dokey i have two boys cards for you today......

Super Boy

They are both lovely digital images made by Mo's digital pencil and are available from her site www.mosdigitalpencil.com
They are absolutely fab and just right for the little super hero or knight in shining armout in the making!  Both hero's in their own right.
Super boy was first coloured in using copics(i lost the list of colours in the turmoil, so sorry)
I then  used Tim Holtx distress inks in stormy sky and China Blue to bring in a stormy sky.
I decided it needed alittle more so i sprayed the image (masked super boy first) with Crafters Companion Iridescent spray glitter and then added stars in silver and blue for a bit of bling he was then backed onto silver mirriboard and mounted onto a card blank that was coloured in 3 shades of Cosmic shimmer vintage mists........
Last but not least i added BROTHER and gilded it with Indigo Blu's Gilding flakes in.......
I thought it turned out rather well!

I would like to enter Super Boy into the following

The Knight
So now we have another cutie Kitchen Knight

I firstly used paper for men for the background of the card.
I then mounted Kichen Knight (coloured in copics)
onto blue speckly card and then mirroboard before finally mounting him onto the card....I stamped in a festive flag along the top in celebration of our young brave knight and finished him off with a  mounted "Happy Birthday" and four silvery stars....

Not bad for a couple of boys cards .....

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Mo's Digital challenge 155 anything goes

So that me done and i am now going to get to grips with the new computer that has just arived to replace the old one.

Thanks for looking hope to see you soon x x
