Use your favourite colours with Delicious Doodles

Hi there and welcome to challenge #25 at

This week we are sponsored by the lovely

Delicious Doodles and Di's Digis

I love orietal styles at the moment and was lucky enough to play with Quiet contemplation from Delicious Doodles and also use my favourite colours!

I made an easel card and used my favourite colours of purple/lilac and pink.

First of all i covered both bits of the easel card with Dream catcher  by First Edition and then used gold  and black card to matt and layer and make the image pop.

I then added a lovely gold ribbon and added some white with gold thread tassel ribbon as well.

I added a couple of dragon flies and then atached a lovely handmade fabric flower to the bottom of the easel card to hold it in place when stood up.

I used the following copic colours to colour her in:

Hair C 9, 7, 5
Skin E000, 00, 01, 02
Lips R 32, 37
Dress BV 000, 00, 01
Sash/ hair band BV 02, 04, 08
Gold swirls Y 15, 19
Parasol  B 60, 63

i added gold glitter glue to the ornamentation in her hair and purple glitter glue in her hair band as well and a little glossy accents to her lips for detail

I would like to enter this card into the following competitions:

One Stitch at a Time #196

Hi there and welcome to a new year and for many a new start or new resolution....I hope you have all had a fabulous Christmas and New year?  I had a slight hiccup but am now raring to go and leaving my throubles behind!

So welcome to another lovely challenge for you at OSAAT for the very first time in 2014!

and the theme this week is USE A DIGI

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
with a complete set of images that we used in challenge #194
and the runner up gets a $3 prize.
But to win main prize you have to use a digi available from the site .

The image i was given the chance to play with is Train spotting by Scrappers Delights and  is available at the Stitchy Bear Outlet

Well i decide to cheer my little boy up with a new room hanger which he fell in love with straight away.....the glitter glue barely had time to dry!  He has been having a tough time at school and i like to cheer him up in little ways whenever i can.

I put a light blue backing paper over the whole door hanger and then put a strip of black shiny card on the top and bottom.

I matted and layered the image firstly onto black shiny card and then onto some lovely blue patterned handmade paper.

\i then wrote Charlie in Martha Stewart Tourmaline glitter glue.

I then finished off with quite a few different coloured blues and silvers and grey candy.

I used the following Copics to colour my image and although this wasn't the greatest of papers it didn't do too bad it only bled a little so had to be very careful.

Stool N 1, 3, 4
Skin E 000, 00, 01, R 20 cheeks
Hat/ dungarees B 91, 93, 95, 97,37
Pockets B 32, 34

Anything goes with Crafty Sentiments

Hi there and welcome back after a lovely Christmas and New year i hope?

We have had lots of flooding down here in the south west of the UK and a couple of times have not been able to get out of our village ( go figure). But the children have had the fun watching films and playing games while poor mum and the rather happy dog go traipsing off for a walk each day...nothing like feeling like a drowned rat lol.

Anyway its time for challenge  #24
at

This week is Anything goes with Crafty Sentiments Designs

We chose some lovely Manga images this time round just to try colouring something different.

I was lucky to have the digi Jason and Eve

Unfortunately these are not the greatest pictures as this stepper card just wasn't playing nice when stood up no matter how i anchored it but it is lovely to look at!

I used two sheets of 8x8 from the Melody Ross designer collection  called the Lydia collection. And used some sheer yellow ribbon with thicker yellow lines on it at the bottom of each step .  At the front i added a sentiment that i used TH distress ink pad scattered straw on and on the scallops gathered twigs.

The back of the card i used ribbon again and added a couple of the lovely recollection paper flowers that i have been given in the past...The image was again distressed using scattered straw distress ink pad round the edges and then mounted onto silver card and then yellow and i used small sticky pads to separate each layer for some dimension.

Herwe is a closer look at the image again not hte greatest but i think eventually i will have to invest in a light tent as the lighting on a dull day is terrible.

I used the following Copics:

Eve ....Skin E 00,01, 02  R 20 cheeks
Hair E 13, 15, 17, 27
Dress YR 01, 12, 15, 18
Eyes G 20, 24

Jason...Skin E 00, 01, 02 R 21 cheeks
Hair YR 21, 23, 24, 27
Eyes B 91, 95
Top G 00, 02, 05, 09
Trousers B 32, 34, 37

Heart R 35 and R 37

Any way hope to see you again next challenge and i will be entering this card into the following challenges:

Now everyone knows i love purple and these flowers are gorgeous!! i cant wait to play ....and the metal embellishments and locks and keys will come in very handy for doing steampunk...which i keep being given of late and i am not a steam ounk person but are starting to enjoy doing something different so these will be a great help!

I love the flower stamps above i am one spoiled lady this year! YAY!
