sexy Kenny K Christmas card

Hi there everyone who is going bananas on making Christmas cards?  I know i am flat out i have loads to upload for you guys to have a looksie at! I will be glad when i can say goodbye to Christmas cards for a while lol

I am lucky to have built up a wonderful stash of digi's and chose a Kenny K image  and this one is called Mistletoe.  She is a rather sexy lady ready to deliver Christmas presents to her lovely other half i think!

I used a white card blank and covered it with a holly covered gold foil card and then used a black card and then the digi using a Nestabilities Grand Labels

I then added a purple ribbon and bow and also on top of the ribbon i added a cute ribbon i found made out of delicate snowflakes and Christmas trees. i then added some blue and white snowflakes around the image and added a snowflake sentiment

I covered the inside of the card with the same gold holly sprig card and cream paper with a sentiment added in gold reading Christmas Joy and happiness throughout the new year.  And also a few snowflakes as well!

The last little thing i added was a gold metal snowflake and attached a angel i had made from jewllery findings and beads....I think she is cute!

One Stitch At a Time challenge #194

Hi there and we have another lovely challenge for you at OSAAT

and the theme this week is ANYTHING GOES

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
with a complete set of images that we used in challenge #192
and the runner up gets a $3 prize.
But to win main prize you have to use a digi available from the site .

The image i was given the chance to play with is steampunk profile by Alipeeps Art and is available at the Stitchy Bear Outlet

She is a lovely lady with long flowing hair and i had much fun colouring her and making her into a card.

I foun some lovely foiled A4 card that i folded in halft to give me an A5 card with that gorgeous gold and black band down the side on the right.  I ten added some black spiderweb fabric that i had in a swap box last year and then layered the image onto copper coloured adorable scorable card and then onto a embossed gold card.  I then finished her off by adding a few cogs to the card as that was the only steampunk embellishment i had at the time...to date this is my second steam punk card and i quite like steampunk...

I used the following copic colours for the image

Skin E 00, 01, 02 and R 20 for her cheeks
Hair E 04, 07, 09
Lips R 36, 38

And finally a gold pen and some Martha Stewart glitter glue for the cogs in her hair! Fairly simple the hardest thing i found was getting her hair right!

I hope you like my inspirations and would love for you to leave a little love xx

Hi there and welcome to another challenge with

and this week we are sponsored by the brilliant  Kenny K

KennyK shop badge

Originally we were to make a Christmas card using 1 digi, 2 papers and 3 embellishments.   But a few of the DT went a bit bananas so i did both! but the other one i did will be in another post...that way i can enter more challenges lol.  So i was lucky to have Santa and his sleigh (separate digi's but i just had to buy these to as they belong together!)  Kenny K  has some lovely images up for grabs for the loved ones this year from the more traditional to the sexy stuff just for your other half...So pop on over to  them and pick up some gorgeous digi's to suit everyone.

So onto my creation this week!

I started with a red A4 card and bone folded it in half to make an A5 card blank which i then embossed with a snowflakes.  I then used K & Co Christmas Cheer paper and a handmade paper in cream with silver snowflakes on it.

I then attached a red ribbon and bow as well as adding a fairy and a sentiment called Christmas Cheer from the K & Co  Life's little occasions- timeless traditions.

I used Tim Holtz stormy sky and broken china and distressed my image after colouring it to make it look like a dark sky and after colouring the sleigh and Santa i used fine white glitter and a MS glitter glue that looks like snow for all the glittery bits on the card.

I used Copics for Santa and the sleigh.

Santa Coat/trousers R 35, 37, 39, 46

One Stitch At A Time #192

Hi there and welcome to another wonderful challenge at

and the theme this week is USE A DIGI

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
with a complete set of images that we used in challenge #190
and the runner up gets a $3 prize.
But to win main prize you have to use a digi available from the site .

This week i was given a lovely image called Snow Deer Scene by Ike's Art and available at the store.  It comprises of quite a few elements one being the complete scene and the rest are components of the winter trees and snow as well as the fawn and deer being separate if you so wished.  I decided to work with the complete scene which i printed twice to make my project.  This onw came out darker than my first attempt as i had used tracing paper and the night time colours of purple and blue had shown through lovely .  But seeing as i tried to chop two tips of my fingers off and got it covered in blood i restarted and had to use a thickish parchment paper and don't quite get the effect i had before...sadly.

Although this has gone off to a new home as a friend was quite taken with it!

I had started with a canvas that i had made different shades of really dark purples and Dark blues to mimic a dark winters evening. I had then printed the parchment and coloured the deet and bushes and elements of the trees.

I then overlayed a sheet of Acrylic A4 which i then made snow for the trees and added colours for the bush and berries and highlights of snow for the deer.

I used Copics in E 14,17.19 for the body of the deer and her fawn and G 28 and 29 for the bush.
I then used Martha Stewart glitter glues for the red berried and the white on the snow, trees and a little bit of loose glitter on the ground and the back of the deer.

Originally the tracing paper really showed the colour of the evening sky through the two layers but thanks to the thick parchment it is rather muted which was a loss as it created such a lovely effect of twilight on the scene.  I like the Martha Stewart Glitter glue that i ordered some more in a three pack in arctic winter colours as i feel i will use a lot more of this on my Christmas cards this year!

Happily my fingers are healing well and i kept the tips!

I would like to enter my project into the following competitions:

One Stitch at a Time #190 Anything goes

Hi there and welcome to another wonderful challenge at

and the theme this week is ANYTHING GOES

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
with a complete set of images that we used in challenge #188
and the runner up gets a $3 prize.
But to win main prize you have to use a digi available from the site .

This week i was given a lovely image called Fancy Free and is made by Barbara Jensen Designs and available at the store.

I had great fun in colouring her as she was a digi era i have not used before as reminded me of the 80's but at the same time youngsters seem to be wearing similar these days ......

I used an 8 x 8 kraft card blank and then used a piece of paper from My Minds Eye from 21st street and then topped it with a piece of yellow card. Then i mounted my image coloured on Copic paper that didn't blend as well as i thought it would onto another piece of MME, yellow card and the MME dotty paper. Before mounting it at an angle on the card i added a purple ribbon with some blingy flowers and put four at the corners of the picture.

To finish the front off i added lilac flower/circle rhinestone combination in alternate lines round the edge of the image. Inside the card i wrote a poem for my 13 year old niece for her birthday as she just turned 13 last week.

It reads

To help you celebrate your special day
A little ditty i send your way
A little girl no longer seen
Just a young lady entering her teens
On your journey you will see
How much fun it is to be a teen
But be aware as you will soon see
Those pesky boys will be a tease
So dont be turned just follow your dreams
To be a vet or whatever you deem
So have lots of fun and times anew
And if one day you feel unsure
Your family will be there with snuggles galore

I then mounted it onto two sets of paper and put a couple of pink lilies at the corner and around the edges on two sides i added a little bit more of the lilac bling.

I used the following Copic colour to colour my image

Skin E 00. 01. 02 R 20 for cheeks
Hair V 12, 15, 17/ 23, 25 , 28 YR 09
Dress/ underskirt  V 12, 15, 17 / B 23, 24, 26

Winter scenes with optional people or animals

Hi there and welcome to another challenge with

and this week we are sponsored by the lovely

Delicious Doodles Shop

The theme this week is a winter scene/animal or person and i was lucky enough to work with

She made a lovely Christmas card.  I started with an 8 x 8 silver blank card and then matted a piece of dark blue adorable scorable card onto it and then a piece of snowflake paper out of my stash.  I then added a piece of white spider web ribbon and then on top of that added a lovely silver ribbon.
I mounted Angelique at a slight angle on the card just for a little difference and to make it easier to place the sentiment at the bottom (again mounted on blue and then silver card and the lovely grouping of flowers, pearls  and pins.

I added so white frosted branches with some white and blue flowers and added in some pins one with an angel on it to the left and the other with a blue heart on the end.
I glittered the image with a little blue on her dress, silver on the snowflake ,white on the wings and a little copper in her hair.

I used the following coloured Copics to colour her and for the first time i used a Copic bleedproof pad which takes a bit of getting used to!

Skin E 000, 00, 01, 02, R20 cheeks
Dress B 21, 23, 26
Hair Y 21, 23, 24, 27
Wings E 40, 41

Thanksgiving or Autumn with JIC

Hi there and welcome to another Just Inspirational Challenges monthly Challenge #3

The Theme is thanksgiving/ autumn and i decided to go with Autumn as we don't do thanksgiving in the UK.

I was lucky enough to find in my stash of digi's a lovely digi called Bundled Brigette from simply Betty Stamps she is so cute and just like here we are definitely feeling the autumnal weather.

I started by distressing the image edges with the darker rusty hinge and then brought it in lighter with Wild honey (Tim Holtz distress pads)i thought it would go really well with that autumnal look....brrrrr.

I used a memory box die called Riviera corner  for the flourish made out of a piece of card from my stash.

The papers i used for matting and layering were from My Minds Eye  Street Market and a handmade paper from stash. and a 8x8 card blank. Added a piece of lace and last but not least a lovely paper flower!

I love the  autumnal poem called "Autumn of Fires" by Robert Louis Stevenson.  So i added that as my sentiment,

I did muck up though i cant tell you the copic colours this week as i cant find my recipe list! And just realized its a horrible photo! but the weather is very dull here at the moment.

I am going to enter this card in  the following challenges:
