30th Birthday photo frame

Hi there

It was my sister's 30th birthday recently and i decided to alter a double photo frame for her.

So here she is and i have even remembered what i used to create it! whew! there are so many times you get into something and then after you have finished you realise that you have forgotten what you have used .

I used a plain white double hinged frame from the Factory shop £5.

I started by covering the photo frame in Brilliance Pearlescent ink pads in Orchid and Purple.
I then used Cosmic shimmer mist over the whole thing in Candy pink and Tarnished gold
(i used card to cover the glass areas)

I used the digi image Thank You by Saturated Canary....coloured her in with copics
Hair YR 27,24,21,14
Dress (promarkers) duck egg , arctic blue, sky blue and copics RV 11,14.
I then coated her with Dimensional magic by Mod Podge. I then added thirty 4mm Pink flat backed pearls glued with Mod Podge Jewel glue.

I added some pink lace corners, white lace flower and leaves with a pink flat backed pearl in the middle.  I also added a couple of acrylic flowers to complete the look.

A true gift from the heart as it took me a few days to complete it and get it right.

I hope you like my creation

Sweet and Simple with Indigo Blu

Hi there i have another card that i made using Indigo Blu's Ella Bella.

Its really easy to make and took about twenty minutes!

Okey dokey i stamped Ella Bella onto a 6x6 card blank and then blended in a Platinum planet brilliance pad like you do with a distress ink pad gettting lighter as you work your way to the centre.

i then added some clear rhinestones into the ends of her hair for a bit of bling!

Now this was the hardest bit! twisting and gluing hearts on a wire around the card!

And that is it all done and dusted i think that is the quickest and simplest card i have done in a long while BUT it wasn't the EASIEST!!!

Hope to see you back soon

Best wishes

Happy Fathers Day with Indigo Blu

This week at Creative Creations Challenges we were lucky enough to be sponsored by Indigo Blu

So welcome and i hope you like my card!

I stamped the man in top hat image from part of my Indigo Blu collection Pomp and Pageantry onto a oval nestabilite and used TH distress inks in gathered twigs and  scattered straw to just edge it and make it complement the colour scheme i had chosen.

I used an 8x8 Kraft card and a pieces of paper from my stash in brown and a mustard colour. I then took a white piece of paper and flitter glued a background using the Union Jack and used Lancashire Rose gilding flakes to get the background.  A lovely effect for sure!I then used Gold brilliance ink pad to stamp great britain onto the background.

I stamped Father's day onto a tag and then edged it with flitter glu and used chariot of fire gilding flakes to finish of the edges...

I enjoyed playing with the Indigo Blu stuff although it does take a bit of practice with the gilding flakes and and antistatic cloth is a must (tumble dryer cloths work just as well)

I have a second card for you today hope you like:

i used a stepper card and covered it with My Minds Eye - Lost and Found Two
then stamped six Union Jacks and distressed them in various blues..Tim Holtz Weathered Wood,Faded \jeans, Broken China and Stormy Sky. I mounted them in a fan shape on two steps and added the top hat man and the lion from Pomp and Pageantry...and then stamped the sentiment Quintessentially English for the top right of the card.

Well i hope you have a look at the Indigo Blu website as there is some wonderful things you can buy and play with.....i now how five types of gilding flakes and Ella Bella and i think given time (and money of course) could get quite addicted.....i especially want to try their Ice Resin and Kroma crackle.....my fingers are itching...lol

Orange, black and white with a little fairy twinkle

Hi there!

I know i haven't posted for a while but i have had a little blip! Both health and internet went wrong at the same time but at least it gave me a good excuse to recuperate...lol

Any way today i have a fairy card from Simply Betty Stamps that i am entering into the

So with no further ado this is my entry and the ingredients!

Okey dokey colours first!

That's the best bit the colouring :-)

The pictures haven't some out very well unfortunately but the card actually looks great!

Skin E 000,00,01,02 and Ro2 lips and cheeks

Now for the rest!

I glittered the edge of the wings and filled in the yellow spots with glossy accents

So! i mounted her onto a combo of black.orange and then black card.
Added a little orange ribbon and some black beaded ribbon (if that is what you can call it)
i added a Dienamics scalloped border and added black crystals to the scallop edge and then three orange crystals on the bottom right edge of the fairy picture and an orange one and black one to the thank you sentiment that i then added.
