Teepee Card with One Stitch at a time #201

Hi there and welcome to another challenge with

and the theme this week Girly! so get all your girly creations in for us to see!

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
with a set of 7 images up fpr grabs!!

The image i was given the chance to play with is Lady Jane and you get her with her cloak and without so you can use either one and a sentiment saying "have a ball" by Scrappers Delights and  is available at the Stitchy Bear Outlet and i have to say i am so in love with the Cupid , Honey and Meow digi selections and they are on sale! Guess where i will be going on Monday? lol

So can you tell this is something new for me? A Tee Pee card using three x 8 x 8 card in different colours and then attached to each other to make a tee pee....( i think i will have to do a tutorial if your interested)

So i coloured the lovely Lady Jane mounted her onto a round scallop die cut and then onto a small paper doily.  I had previously cut and added First Edition Dream catcher and Daydream papers to the three sides a little smaller than the actual tee pee side.  On the lady Jane side i added a few Paper Flowers and leaves to the edge of her frame and added some bling at the bottom following the line of the card.

On this side i used the papers i mentioned earlier and added a lilac circle scalloped die cut with a birthday sentiment.
I then added a silver leave and white metal flowers adding a metal silver center and then some bling centers. And again the purple bling along the bottom of the cards edge.

This is the plainest side as i had to make sure i could fold it flat and put into an envelope still so i just added a tattered lace die cut ribbon and distressed it with pink candy a little and again added the bling along the bottom edge of the card.
Now did you notice the pink and silver brad on the left of the card? There is one on the other side and i wrapped a piece of thin lilac silky type string between the two and tied into a bow to hold the whole tee pee together.

So for the lovely Lady Jane i used the following Copic colours:

Dress V 12, 15, 17
Skin E 000, 00, 01 cheeks R 20
Cloak C 1, 3, 5, 7
Hair YR 21, 23, 24, 27
Ribbon  V 20, 22, 25

So i hope you like my creation this week.

TTPHC #29 Embossing

So this week

our theme is Embossing
and we are sponsored by the lovely

and Kitty is offering the winner a £10 gift certificate!

Hmm i was playing with my stash and i decided to make a card using one colour combo so i picked the YR group from my Copic collection.

Even though this week is embossing i set myself the task of using one colour group to add a little spice.

So this is what i came up with.....I used my Copics from the YR group so they ARE the same colour group but there is a whole range of cream, yellow, orange to almost a brown.  So i thought ok i will colour the complete image in those colours and use a white embossed background with a little scattered straw highlight on the flower embossing area....ok  so hopefully i had the right idea?

so to start i used a yellow card blank and then embossed a white linen piece of card with embossibilities called Revere Adoration- two sided embossing board.
I then added the coloured image that i had roughed the edges and distress with a little Tim Holtz scattered straw as it didn't look right white on white.

I then added a lovely woven orange ribbon with two flower embellishments on it and then some paper flowers in the shades i had used in my colouring and last but not least a best wished sentiment stamped onto a flower.

So technically i have used one colour the YR spectrum from Copic and i literally used all the shades in this image.....so lets see what you lovely ladies come up with? Embossing wise that is!

I am going to be entering the following challenges:

Challenge # 200 OSAAT

Hi there and welcome to another challenge with

and the theme this week is  Use a digi!
So get those digis out and get creating!

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
with a set of 7 images!
But to win the main prize you have to use a digi available from the site .

The image i was given the chance to play with is Ankhi by My heart pieces   and  is available at the Stitchy Bear Outlet and on my word there are some lovely images available on there trust me!

So i started with a 6x6 card blank and folded one side in half  and added another piece of 6x6 card to form a easel card.  For the back ground papers i used a Papermania stack by  Lucy Cromwell.
The image i had coloured and cut out using a oval scallop die.  I used some Liquid Pearls in Mint Green on each scallop and then mounted onto a larger frame that it fitted onto.  The frame i had already distressed with Broken China distress pas and a Brilliance galaxy gold for a two toned finish.  I then mounted the whole thing onto a piece of gold embossed Card so that it would give a bit more colour and definition to the image.

I then used Broken China and the Brilliance galaxy gold  colours again on a large ornate die cut and then added a Visable image sentiment. I mounted both digi and sentiment onto card using foam pads.

I then added some bronze coloured corners and metal flowers and added in a blue rhinestone into each flower.  I stuck these down with Colall all purpose glue and it does what it says on the bottle sticks anything!  So i have a new glue that i like which has a built in spreader....good job my son bought 6 bottles as i don't think they will last long :-)  And an added tip? keep the room ventilated as it has a potent smell!

I also uded the following copics and the top in Marvy le Plume pens to colour in the image:

Hair E 31, 33, 35, 37
Skin E 00, 01
Flowers and hairband R 30, 32
Top Marvy le Plume pens in B 709, and B 717

I hope you like what i have for you this week but i cant wait to show you what i have made for next week!
