Some of the Christmas cards i made. Finally making it to blogger

Well i know Christmas has gone but i wanted to share the couple i rescued after the house move when i lost my big box of embellishments so i didn't really have a chance to do too many.  But i have been rectifying that problem steadily since Christmas believe me!

SO ENJOY

So we have a Magnolia stamp and some mulberry flowers sent bought off eBay  the ribbon is from our local fabric store Hanson

Same Magnolia stamp Christmas papers and a paper doilie and a lovely snowflake border from a friend and flowers from the eBay box i bought.

Last bought not least another Magnolia stamp and ribbons from Hansons and flowers that i found from create and craft!

So i managed to do a couple of Christmas cards!  My husband will pay dearly for losing my embellishment box in the move ;-)

Bye for now and plenty more to come

Magnolia by candle light

 Hi There!!

Now i know i have not been about much over the last month or so but i have a very good excuse!

I moved house!  And literally have not been able to use the internet as my go live date with my broadband wasn't until the 4th January...

So......today this is my very first posting on the Creative Creations Challenges DT!!

I am so excited!

Anyway it is anything goes for our very first weeks challenge so i decided to something other than a card (i was a bit bogged down with them over Christmas  and decided to make a candle using a Magnolia Tilda stamp.
So here she is....

I stamped a Magnolia image onto tissue paper and then coloured in making sure i had a sheet of paper underneath as the imprint went straight through.

I used the following colour combo's

                                                                 Hair         E 43, 44, 47
                                                                 Clothes (jeans) B91,93 95
                                                                 Blouse RV00,02,04
                                                                 Skin R01, E00,01
                                                                 Roses R32,35,37
                                                                 Greenery YG99,97,95,93

I added a layer of ribbon, then lace with a string of pearls and red roses to the base of the candle and added a small metal butterfly near the top of the roses.  I like how this turned out for sure.

One word of advice the colours do tend to come out a lot lighter once added to the candle so i would advise to use darker colours if you want a more vibrant colour scheme.

If you have any questions on how to go about putting an image onto a candle drop me line by email or comment.

Keep following my blog as i have quite a bit to upload over the next couple of weeks

xx
