Lacy Sunshine and Anything goes

Hi there...Well this week over at TTPHC we have an anything goes challenge for you...so nice and easy and just right to ease you all in after the frantic school holidays!  It so good to have the children back to school or nearly...mind you i have to say i did enjoy spending a lot of time with my son and he has been fabulous...not once did i hear i'm bored what can i do?....music to my ears...

This week we had the lovely Lacy Sunshine sponsoring us....and the whole DT had a new image each!

This lovely little girl sat in her basket is Kenli forget me nots flower pot pretty

I had so much fun colouring this little lovely!  I just had to make her into a beautiful birthday card but the peg sentiment can be removed and reused to change it to something else...so pretty versatile.

I used some lovely burgundy coloured papers with a mid range blue to complement the image colours and i matted and layered them....you will see i added two different paper doilies a little bit of pearl bling and an accordion flower....i love these...

Hope you like my DT make and if you ever want colour combos just holler!

#55 Photo Inspiration - Nikki Burnett take two!

Hi there!

This week at TTPHC we have a photo inspiration for you!  I was so loving the images that i made two cards for you!

Here it is but don't be alarmed it isn't as hard as you may think! In fact we found it easy lol

Here she is a beautiful mermaid by Nikki Burnette - Arden ....she was lovely to colour and was easy to match up with the inspiration picture...

I loved the blues and greens i chose to colour her in...and for the first time ever i did an unconventional hair colour! yes it green...and it turned out better than i thought it would...

I had a bit of a play with this card i used texture paste and stencil for the background and when dry i used my gilding waxes in about six different colours and blended then burnished them til i was happy with the reult...it looks great on the card and the picture doesn't do it any justice at all!

Just to finish her off i gave her a nice simple sentiment and a little bit of black half pearl bling and then she was done...thanks for dropping in and cant wait to see what you come up with!

#55 Nikki Burnette and a picture inspiration

Hi there!

This week at TTPHC we have a photo inspiration for you!

Here it is but don't be alarmed it isn't as hard as you may think! In fact we found it easy lol

Here she is a beautiful mermaid by  Nikki Burnette - Symphoni....she was lovely to colour and was easy to match up with the inspiration picture...

i have to admit i used a lot of pearls on this one i made them to look like bubbles in some places and i loved the craft time sea shell buttons i added...locked away in my stash but no longer as i used the whole packet nearly!
I really loved colouring her in especially with all that skin on show...usuall skin is just a little bit here and there but with a mermaid there is a lot of skin so hopefully she looks as svelte as i wanted her too.

Well hope you all enjoy the challenge and look forward to seeing your entries this week!

i would like to enter this make into the following challenges!

Rick St Dennis at TTPHC

Its another one of those days where blogger decided to NOT post my scheduled blog post and i now have dived in to find out what the hey?

Blogger being blogger i suppose!

This week over at

Wea re lucky to be sponsored by the awesome Rick St Dennis!  He has the most wonderful images with so much detail that the sky is the limit!

I was lucky enough to get to make the beautiful Autumn Goddess into a card for a special friend

I used papers from my paper stash and decided to keep to muted earthy tones.....i love the orange jewels, ribbon and flower that i added to give the card a bit more 3D quality.
I really enjoyed colouring her and for a change used a variety of orange colours from my Copic collection....a colour that i usually steer clear of as i am always unsure of orange and yellow but i think it turned out quite well to be honest

A slightly closer look at the dig that i coloured.

A rather productive day!

Today seems to be a productive day with yet another Aurora Wings digi image.....now if i said i wasnt addicted to these lovely whimsical images i would be telling a huge fat fib!

So here is my second card depicting a Aurora Wings image.....

This lovely image is Whimsical Hydrangea

I had a lovely wooden "A" that i decided to make well a bit  more......fairly straight forward the most complicated and time consuming was the image...and i love htese images.

I hope you like what i decided to make?

Colouring just for the fun!

Well today i decide to play with another Aurora wings image and i am so in love with these they are gorgeous!

It is lovely just to make a card just because i want to and not because of commitments lol.  I chose to download the freebie Sunflower Sprite for the pixie challenge....Now just in case you have never used or hear of Aurora Wings you can find these lovely whimsical digi's here...

So here is my card showing Sunflower Sprite

Here is a close up .....gosh i loved colouring this lovely digi!  And as always i used my trusty Copics.

Summerween swap with SBS

I loooove these swaps every four months or so with Simply Betty Stamps Facebook Group!  A lovely mix of ladies from all over the world coming together for a swap and they are always fun swaps!

So you are here at my blog and should have come from Kelli 's blog

Ok would you like to see what my swap partner gave me?

Lucy sent me some great stuff and to be fair i had a hard time dividing it up between myself and Charlie who naturally assumed it was all for him lol

In this pic you can see some plastic skull tumblers, a Halloween muffin tub, a scarf , some skull bubbles, three huge rolls of paper tape and a plastic door frame cover of a skeleton lol

oooo Haribo spooky sweets and some paper pumpkin lanterns...some embossing folders from the mags we tend to read around heres...alphabet rub on's, and feather...i so love feathers!

and i love the frames from hobby craft and the word rub ons!  Beach embellishments from hobby craft...

Needless to say Charlie seized the bucket and spade as well as the monster feet straight away...then we had Halloween banners and stickers that he took on with him as well the monkey!

My favorite would be the Hunky Dory Halloween card and toppers!  And as i explained to Lucy i so wish i opened the package before Charlie came home from school that day....

Here is the lovely card Lucy sent me too!
