Birthday Jewellery box with a difference

For the one you Love on her birthday!

A beautiful jewellery box to give to her!

I used a plain wooden box that originally had a glass top but was broken in transit so i gave it a vellum top  Do Crafts glitter Arlington Vellum
I then edged the top edge and lid with cream lace and then a layer of velvet ribbon
and last but not least a layer of pearls all around the outside of the box.

I lined the inside of the box and outside with My Minds Eye Howdy Doody "baby" Lacey Paper
I added Tim Holtz Ideology box feet
and trimmed the top with ribbon throughout the sections

I used First Edition Day dreams papers for layering
and added a cream lace doilie and gardenia to the top left of the magnolia image which was coloured in using Copics and the roses are edged with clear glitter pen. And last but not least for the image i added star rhinestones.

Copic colours used:

Skin E00 E11 E21 and R01
Hair E29 E27 E25 E21
Clothing R22 R21 R20 R00 R02
Grass/leaves G85 YG67 YG63
Arbour E87 E84 E81
Flowers Y26 Y23 Y21
Background B000 B60 B32 B63

The gardenia was dipped in flitter glu and i used silver gilding flakes to give it a silver edge to the petals.

I hope you like my jewellery box and look forward to you visiting my blog again.

Bracelet's hopping off the shelf

I honstly didnt ex[ect the bracelets that i have been making to go so well but i am definately not complaining!!

So the first one was for a young girl who for a change liked blue but i did wriggle in some lovely glass pink hearts and a variety of larger and small beads in clear and different blues.

This second one was designed for another lady and i used a variety of crackle beads, seed pearls, silver beads, small square grey glass beads letters and a couple of hearts.

All beads and findings are top quality and come from a local bead shop.

COMMISSIONS BEING TAKEN NOW

BOTH GLASS, FRESHWATER PEARL OR SEMI PRECIOUS BEADS USED

EITHER STERLING SILVER OR SILVER PLATED FINDINGS AVAILABLE

Hope you like it and hope you will follow my blog

Magnolia candles

Magnolia Candles

I had great fun making these but alas i have lost the colour combinations used.

Word of advice?  Colours come out a lot lighter when using tissue paper and always colour in with a sheet of white behind the image paper.

Always use greaseproof paper to wrap and hold the tissue paper image against the candle and partially to protect your hands.

You will know when the image is ready as the candle wax swallows the image so be careful it happenns really quickly.

Let it dry

and then embellish!

I have use ribbon on the base of both of these candle and then embellished accordingly...
the flamenco dancer a added a fan to and blowing wishes i used star rhinestones.

Hope you like these are really easy to do once you know how...

Bye for now
