Clockwork pony

It another fine day here in the UK the sun is out and we have two weeks until the schools kick out for the summer.

Today over at TTPHC it is our no right angles challenge so it can be ANYTHING but has to be with curves or wobbly lines...easy right?

I blew Clockwork Pony into an A4 size and curved the corners to make a curved picture.

Fairly straight forward but i wasn't happy with the colours once i had put it all in a frame with glass in it but i really love the image...and i know from experience if i dont like the end result and i tweak it, it ends up being totally wrong so i left it as it was.

I put a few gear in the corners as it is a Steampunk image and distressed the edges with Tea dye ,Scattered straw, Wild honey  and vintage photo distress inks and then mounted onto a complimentary background paper.

As always i used my Copics and after making and finishing the image i lastly mounted it into a fram that i had up cycled and painted and then coated in Croco crackling colour(copper)  and here is the end result....

Thanks for looking and yes i know the end result has right angles but the project didnt my trying to change the corners and make it different just didnt work with the frame i had available. :0

Thanks for looking!

Flower Ladies Sheri Lotus by Simply Betty Stamps

Flower Ladies  at Simply Betty Stamps  are rather cute! And consist of four flower ladies which are Betty Rose, Corinne Calla Lily, Irene Dahlia and Sheri Lotus.

This one is Sheri lotus.

This one is called Sheri Lotus and i have to say i love her!  What i love most about digis is that you can make them any size you want!

So i obviously coloured my Lotus digi and then mounted onto an 8x8 card base and used a number of papers from the Lydia collection and some silver card to matt and layer her ready for the card.  I love the flowered paper its gorgeous.  I then  used some Spare Parts- pink/white flower/ribbon brads that a lovely swap partner sent me a few weeks ago. The white ribbon actually has roses etched into it as the design.  And last but not least a couple of resin pink and white roses.

I always love colouring with copics but this time as with the other flower ladies i used  a mix of copic and pencils

This time i used the following combos

Hair E79, 29, 27, 70
Lips R 20, 21
Skin E 50, 51, 53, R 20 cheeks
Dress combination of Derwent inktense pencils in purples
Eyes V 12, 15, 17

And that another one completed thanks for looking.

I used papers for this card from The Lydia Ross designer Collection - The Lydia Collection. I also backed the image onto a bit of gold mirri board and then more paper from the LRC.  Then added pale green lace.   Pale green half pearls around the top left and bottom right corners. Then followed b a bit of bling.  The sentiment that came with the image was distressed with a touch of tea dye distress ink.

#46 Anything goes with The Stamping Chef

Another challenge at TTPHC this week nice and easy anything goes, what could be easier?

So this wee we were sponsored by the lovely Tamara from The Stamping Chef and i was really looking forward to using the digi Kn(owl)edge.  I really enjoyed colouring this digi and it gave me a chance to play arouond with making a background.

I took loads of photos but unfortunately i have the shakes of late and actually only found a few that could be used for my blog post...bah humbug!  Never mind onwards and upwards! i enjoyed making this card i loved the summery colours from the Teresa Collins- Fabrications paper pad.

So i used as many of the papers as i could from the fabrications paper pad and they are double sided so thats an added bonus..  I love the flowery prints and the gorgeous summery colours.  I used a hessian star that has been sitting in a draw just begging to be used and added further embellishments of a paper flower posie with rafia, hession ribbon, Clorse to the heart - metal corners (swap partner - Darcy) and a K for knowledge from Tim Holtz and yes it says knowledge on there too. Lastly i used some spare bits of paper in the same colour pad for the two tags at the top.

So as usual i will let you know my colour recipe as i call it.  I always tend to use Copics and i am totally smitten with them!

Copics used:

Skin E 50, 51, 53 , 93 cheeks
Lips E 93, 95
Hair YR 21, 23, 24, 27
Shorts B 21, 23, 24
Sleeveless jumper R 32, 35, 37
Tshirt R 20, 21, 22

Owl E 31, 33,34, 35, 37, 39, Y 35, 38, 28
Owls glasses B 000, 01

And for this wek that it! Hope you like my creations and i am glad i am finally getting back into the swing of things.  See you soon

Show some Attitude!

Hi there this week at TTPHC

we were given Kenny K digi's to play with that show a little ATTITUDE!

I was lucky to get to play with the awesome Kenny K's Warrior Princess from his Myths and Maidenz series.  And quite frankly she definitely shows some ATTITUDE in my book being a warrior princess and all

To start with i decided to just really focus on the lovely digi and not make the card too busy.  so i put a sheet of sage 6 x 6 Coredinations and embossed it with a swirly embossing folder and then roughed it up with a bit of sandpaper.  I then added to strips of the criss cross washi tape by We R memory keepers and then the glitter tape across the middle.  After distressing the edges and making them look nice and rough i distressed it with Tea dye and Scattered Straw distress ink pads.  Last but by no means least i added a triple of beige colour half backed pearls by Recollections (from a swap partner) on the bottom left and top right corners.  I then added an insert saying Show Some Attitude in funky letters

I used the following Copic combinations when i coloured her up.

Helmet combos W 1, 3, 5, 7
Y 21,23,  26, 28
Gold Pen

Skin E 50, 51, 53
Lips E 93, 95
Hair E 70, 27, 29, 79
Clothing R 24, 27, 29, 59
Cloak YG 93, 95, 99
Boots E 23, 25, 27
