Button it up over at TTPHC this week

Hi there over at TTPHC this week our challenge is button it up

So we had to make cards for two sponsors with some buttons on them so this post shows my first post which is  for

Digistamps4Joy :: Your online Digistamp Store

and i used the Flower Power digi

I used papers from my paper stash and believe me it is a stash and i have a bundle that i don't have a clue where they came from so i dug that out for this challenge.

i used coloured twine instead of ribbon and after matting and layering added the digi or coloured up.  I used  a mixed colour flowersoft type medium for the coloured grass and flowers under the wheels aiming for looking like the van had parked on a bed of grass and flowers.  And last but by no means least the cardboard glazed buttons that i chose to go with this card.

I used Copics in the following colour combinations:

Main body B 01,02,04
Roof B 000,00,01
Windows T 0.01
Wheels T 9,7,6
Grill R 95,99

Not my greatest card as still finding my craft mojo after a month of and its proving harder to get back into the swing of things!

Thanks for looking!!

Your a darling

This week at TTPHC
we were sponsored by the lovely Scrappers Delights!

Scrappers Delights

This is my first time back since the passing of my niece and i had a little trouble finding my arty side so i just tried to do something so long as i did it.  I have to say i am glad to be back but its harder getting back into the swing of things than i first thought.  I think my creativity fled for the hills!

We had  a lovely song to chose ideas from and i chose the
'D' your a darling lyrics for my card featuring the lovely digi Lady Jane

I distressed a white A5 blank with Tea dye and then matted and layered peach and gold card that had previously been distressed with Tea dye distress ink with a hint of dried marigold chucked in for a bit more depth.
I then added a square of thick cotton jute and a pale green doily.

I used two creative expressions waxes in bronze and green to highlight the vines and flowers and to finish the die cut flower in the two corners.
i put two gold half pearls into the middle of the two larger flowers and then finished the  card off with a die cut with Birthday Wishes sentiment that i had distressed in tea dye and dried marigold distress inks.

Here is a close up of the die cut flowers i added.  I hope you like my first card in a month?

A new Fold #36

Hi there and welcome to challenge #36
at

Well i would like to say it is a glorious day but its not it is pouring with rain! whats new? yep i am in the lovely south west of the UK which when its sunny is absolutely gorgeous....i love the views round here.

We were lucky this week to be given images by Stitchy stamps to use in the challenge and i sort of went into the wrong folder and printed the wrong image but thankfully it was still a Stitchy digi...phew! so this week in a daft turn of events and coloured and made a pop up box using Pretty in Pink!

And was lucky enough to  be given the instructions for a popup up box by the lovely Kay at Hougie Crafts

So this one is a first for me....my very first pop up box!

I was lucky enough to accidentally play with Pretty in Pink by Stitchy Stamps ( i printed from the wrong folder lol)

So here she is what do you think?

I made the pop up box via instructions from Kay and yes it was easy peasy....well until it got to adding the lovely stuff in the middle! and then i was all fingers and thumbs!

I used The Country Diary of an Edwardian lady papers for the front and inside of the box in two different colour schemes.  Then added some love ribbon around the outside of the box and a happy birthday die cut and sentiment on the front flap.

I used a combination of different coloured leaves at the back with my pretty in pink in the middle.   She was then surround by a variety of flowers and a few butterflies.  And some lovely green sparkly stars that looked just right.

I\ used the following Copics to colour her

Dress RV 02, 04, 06,YR 00. 01.02
Skin E 11, 21, 50, 51
Hair E 44, 47, 49, 39

I hope you like my first attempt at a pop up box!

#35 Steampunk

Hi there i hope you had a lovely sunny weekend? i know i enjoyed all of that sunshine.

This week at

We are sponsored by

Who has a fabulous Etsy site with all sorts of lovely detailed images and if you click the link above it will take you straight there!

So this week i was lucky enough to play with the Pirate Nayja

I made her into an A4 image and i have to admit this is the biggest digi i have ever coloured and i was very happy with how she turned out!  And much to my surprise i had a bidding war for who was going to buy her? Amazing! But she is lovely in person and the pictures don't do her justice by any means

ok so i framed her in an A4 frame that i had previously distressed in Forest Moss that gave it a complimentary green hue.

I used the following copic markers to colour her:

Skin E 50, 51, 21, 11
Hair E 70, 27, 29, 79
Skirt/Top R 56, 39, 59
Hat/Bolero and Kerchief  G 24, 94, 99

I added a little glitter pen in strategic places on her skirt and gold highlight to her bolero

I then distressed the edge of the picture with forest moss, Tea dye and Scattered straw

The above embellishment i made out of a couple of feathers topped with two metal leaves coloured with green and added two flowers with another smaller center flower that i then filled the petals with some glitter glue in Kinzite from Martha Stewart and put a big bling y crystal in the middle.  I didn't want to over do it so i decided to leave her as she was and was very pleased with the effect.

I hope you like what i did with my Steampunk image which was a first for me!

Thanks for visiting and even more so for leaving a little bit of love :-)

Bingo with The Stamping Chef

Hi there welcome this week to our weekly challenge at the

This week we are sponsored by The Stamping Chef so pop along and have a look at the lovely digi's that are available for you to buy!

And here is my lovely image that i made into a round box for my mum for mothers day full of her favourite goodies!

I decorated the box with deco mache paper and mod podge and then added a gold ribbon around the outside with antique metal fixings that i then added a pearl into the middle.

The lid is decomached and mod podged the same as the bottom and i added a rippled ribbon and some cream coloured beading at the top.

The top of the box i decorated with an easel type attachment and surrounded it with roses and flowers complimenting both the image and the deco mache used on the circular box.  I added a few white flourishes to finish off with some bling made into flower sprigs that are such a dark purple they almost look black

This a close up of the lovely image called Dolly Birthday

I hope you like what i have made this week and will be entering in the following challenges:

Crafts U Print - Grandmas House

Hi there and welcome to another challenge

And this week the theme is use digital elements.

I decided to use Grandma's house from Crafts U Print and made a treat box!  what child doesn't love goodies from their grandma??

I started with a paper mache box and used a pack of paper with a lovely design but with the consistency almost like tissue paper.
I tore them into strips and glued using mod podge and that stuff is so sticky and messy.  I gave it two coats to make sure it had a really good seal.

I cut out Grandmas house and i sure had fun cutting out all the bits to make the Decoupage.  so i layered and glued her together using that lovely thick glue that you can maneuver about to get the right shape and everyone  calls it something different and i call it magic glue!!

I added some glittery dazzles on the right side and i added some crackle glaze to her hair and a bit of glossy accents to the top of the cakes....just to give a variety of textures.  I also added a little pink tissue paper to hise the foam pads i used to get that nice curve to the top of the picture...and last but not least i fashioned some legs and glued them on to!

I then added ribbon and lace ribbon in complementary colours to the top and bottom of the box and attached a lovely homemade flower to the front.  I hope you like my effort as i don't usually make decoupage but i had lots of fun with this...Thanks Crafts U Print!!
