Halloween with Simply Betty

Hi  there and welcome to our challenge at Through the Purple Haze this week
Through The Purple Haze Challenges

we had a really good turn out with last weeks theme and are hoping we get an even bigger turn out with Halloween!
NOW

Onto this weeks challenge and it theme!

HALLOWEEN!!!

with the lovely Simply Betty Stamps!

Now before i show you my creation this week i have to  let you know about Betty's new release!

They are Dark Mistresses Betty's and are well worth the money (shh i didn't tell you that!).

So onto my creation!

Now to start of with it doesn't look like much just a maroon card with Halloween etched into it by my Cameo (still learning and have more muck ups than usable media so i am getting there)
On the fron is just a witches hat and brook and of course her spell book....ohh and some black and silver ribbon.

But once you open it....well its definitely different i put the outside on the inside so my lovely witch is inside my card showing herself off to her hearts content....and i added a little BOO! with googly eyes.

Both inside pages are silver but on the other side is four ghost at each corner leaving you enough room to add a greeting to s friend or a spell if that is what you wish!

I coloured her in the following Copic colours:
Hat BV 23,25,29
Dress BV 11,13,17/BV 000 01 02
Eye shadow BV 11, 13 ,17
Lips R 14, 17
Knee high socks B 32, 34, 37, 30
Skin E 000, 00, 01,
Cheeks R 02
Hair YR 21, 23, 24, 27

And there you have it my Halloween card with a difference!

I would like to enter into the following challenges:

Created with love - #60

Simply Sassy Designs and inspired by a song, book, film or cartoon

Hi there and welcome!

Our theme is

anything inspired by a song/book/film or cartoon

So i decided to have a Daphne sassy  digi from Sassy Studio Designs

Sassy Studio Designs

so here she is and i will let you know that i am a bit miffed because when it came to do the sentiment by silly printer decided that actually it was out of ink!  Soooo i used black half backed crystals as Daphne always needs rescuing!

So copic wise i used the following copic combination to colour her in.

Hair YR 221, 24, 27
Scarf Y32, 35, 38
Tights V0000, 000, 00 ,02
Skin E0000, 000, 00, 02

And for the rest of the card i used an orange card base just a good old A4 folded in half for a change. And then layered it with a lilac Papermania paper, purple card and then added a strip of satin ribbon and then put a spiders web ribbon on top.

I then added my image and a few Jolee Boutique spiders, webs and ghosts!  I then finished off by painstakingly

adding black half backed crystals to another piece of purple card with the word HELP.....i am not happy with the result but that is what happens when you forget to make sure your ink is topped up in your printer.....guess where i am going today? yep to argos to get my ink!

I will be entering this card into the following challenges.....

CMC Copic Challenge Group - 77 anything goes

Sister Act card challenge - anything goes

Charisma cardz - favourite colour combo

Crafty ribbons challenge - 62 anything goes with a ribbon

Thanks for looking!

Bling it up! with The Purple Haze Challenges

Hi there!

I can see that you guys were totally scared off by the sketch challenge last week so this week we have an easy one for you !

BLING IT UP!

This week at

we are sponsored by the lovely Kitty Krafty Frampton from

My Mums Craft Shop

and she is offering a 10% off online orders this week!

Now onto my creation this week

I used a lovely digi called Summer the fairy from Simply /Betty Stamps.  she is gorgeous and so easy to colour!

I used Copics to colour her in but am quite gutted that i cant find the colour combination i used for her a lovely young man (6) helped tidy my craft room and binned my colour combo's (recipe book) so now i have a HUGE one so it wont happen again! And it will teach me a lesson to watch him like a hawk lol....as i love the colour of the wings and the green of her dress!

I used First Edition 8 x 8 paper pad called Rose Garden
A strip of self adhesive pink glitter paper that i then added i a pink frilled lace, and  topped it off with a silver really shiny and blingy  thin silver ribbon.

I then added a  Die-naimics heart doily sprayed with Cosmic shimmer mists in Raspberry and Pearl Mist.

I then added the digi and slid a handmade pin in behind her .

I glittered a Maya Road blossom 3 in silver Martha Stewart glitter i had for christmas last year and a stampin up goldy coloured glitter called Champagne.

The sentiment stamp is by Personal impressions and used  a Brilliance pad in pearlescent purple to stamp the sentiment.

I hope you like my card this week and will be entering into the following challenges this week.

Summerween swap with Simply Betty Stamps

Summerween blog hop with

Hi there there are quite a few of us girls who belong to Simply Betty Stamps and i suppose about four times a year we have a swap....whether it be the spring swap, summerween, halloween or christmas swap,

So you should have come to my blog from:

Maggie Schoener

and if you didnt you need to go back to the beginnning

Betty Roberts

I have to admit in the past year i have really gotten into these swaps as you never know what you are going to get and that there is a big chance you will end up with something new and have never used in your box!

So my partner was  Elisabete Balcavage

and boy she sent me a lovely summerween package!

Now inside this lovely box was an A made out of wood and decorated with the summerween fairy we were given by the lovely Betty Roberts for this swap
its gorgeous and halloween or not it will be up all the time!

I had some summery flowers and a Martha Stewart punch with skulls!

I had all sorts of ribbons and halloween stickers inside that box it was choc full!

There were stamps and and stickers , ghosts , spiders, words, haunted house.  so i can have some major fun with my halloween card

I love the sticky spiders and have already gotten stuck into my  halloween cards although in the UK they don't really make a big thing out of it.

More stamps and a card with ghosts on the front and three reels of ribbon

And last but not least a picture of the halloween box they all came in!

Pretty cool huh and i can use it even when it isnt halloween....very useful storage.

So now you have reached me you have the rest of the hop to go through and the next one on the list is highlighted!

Stitchy bear and Penny Black with team battle!!

Hi there hope your having a great day ?

Through The Purple Haze Challenges

This week we have the two teams in a heads off. I have been feeling unwell the last few days so its a miracle that this post and the challenge post was done!

Okey dokey i have a lovely Stitchy Bear Digi by Stitchy bear called China Doll

We have a sketch challenge here at Through the Purple Haze Challenges!

I coloured China Doll in with the following copics:

Hair C9,7,5,3,2
Dress RV 19,17,14,13/RV 95,93,91/YR 27,24
Skin E0000, 000, 00 and R02 for cheeks

I loved colouring the image she is gorgeous but this is my first sketch and i didn't enjoy it ....could just be that i have flu like symptoms and and can not concentrate as well as usual.....so i must try to do a few more sketches in future.

I used distress in spun sugar round the edges of the nestability wavy rectangles just to break up the white of the edges.
I backed the card a First Edition  8 x 8 pad called Rose Garden then i added the ribbons and then the dove craft accordion flowers flowers and MIC dragonflies trying to keep it oriental.....imagine my shock that i get an oriental image and didnt have anything that i really thought suitable in my stash...aaaahhhh!

Any way not my greatest project but at least i bit the bullet!

Many thanks for looking

I am entering into the following challenges:

Creative card crew - things with wings
Tuesday throwdown - anything goes
One stitch at a time - use a digi
Totally Gorguss - anything goes

Delicious Doodles

Hi there everyone!

I hope you enjoyed the summer holidays?
Well this week we have for you over at
 Through the Purple Haze Challenges

a challenge sponsored by

and the theme?

Use your dies! Can be any die so long as it is a die.

I was lucky to get to play with the Friends for ever digi showing a horse and his best friend!

I coloured the image in the following copic colours

Hair of girl YR 24,23,21
Skin R20 cheeks, E21,02,01,00
Jacket Horses body C3,2,00
Blouse YG 05,01,00
Horse mane C9,7,5,3

I distressed the digi edges in old paper pad

I used a  DCWV paper pack in 12x12 on a ringed sketched pad in The lace and linen stack.  I then added another piece from the same stack across the middle i then carried on by adding a double layered lace border with pearl trim running thought the middle.

Then i decided to add a few finishing touches i distressed a heart die in weathered wood and then sanded Core impressions mini stack words and made a rosette in the top right corner that blended with the four different coloured ribbons and lace i tied onto the rings of the drawing pad.

It didnt quite come out as i expected it too but it isnt a bad one either but the spiral bound book opens and closes so thats an added bonus.

Anyway thanks for visiting my blog today and i hope you leave me a little love.

I would like to enter into the following challenges:
