Favourite colours with Simply Betty Stamps

Hi everyone!

Well it is a rather rainy day here in the south west so i thought i would brighten your day with my favourite colours card in some nice summery colours

We are lucky enough at Through the Purple Haze This week to be sponsored by the lovely

So my card today is for a special friend and i have used Inner Tube Betty

I used BBP Avalon Paper from the quilted fish and then a bit of orange card.
I used Die-namics heart doily with the other side of the flowery BPp card as they are double sided and added a Crafts Too Swirling Flourish and then last but by no means least  a special friend ticket!

Flower A4 folder

Hi there everyone
I hope you are having a fantastic summer? It has been absolutely boiling here!

This week at Through the Purple Haze Challenges we are enjoying FLOWERS!

Yep those gorgeous colourful flowers that we find in our gardens.

So here is my Dt project this week ....it looks gorgeous but hasn't photographed overly well.

It was really hard getting the angle tight to catch this folder as i had used Cosmic Shimmer sprays to create it and the bathroom floor came in really handy for the initial colouring!

I started by spraying the bottom third in Cosmic Shimmer Golden Mint and vintage  Antique Green and then carried on with Vintage Marigold and finished the last third using Vintage Antique rose.

I then used a mask with these lovely flowers and swirls and i don't have a clue where they came from!
I used a variety of  Brilliance Pearlescent ink pads and used a dabber to colour i used orchid and purple on the flowers and ivy and light green on leaves and stalks.
I then finished it off by adding rhinestones in various pink/purple shades to give it a bit of bling!
I added a bit of detail on the smaller flowers with a purple copic.

So i hope you like my contribution even though the photo's don't do it justice.

Thank you for looking and i hope to see you back again soon.

many thanks

Indigo Blu #1 challenge with Through the Purple Haze Challenges

Hello everyone and welcome as you know today is the launch of

I have put together with the help of Fiona Henderson and Debs Mitchell a new challenge blog that is made up with quite a few new to blogging DT members!  I am also lucky enough to have some experienced ones too!  So our happy band gets lots of help and support where needed....
We have a mix of across the range abilities, mind you some may be new to blogging but they make some lovely cards!

Any way i am getting off the reason for this post ....so our very first challenge is with a lovely stamp company called Indigo Blu

Here is my creation for the DT:

I made this clock by using a £5 "home" clock from the factory shop in just plain old white!
So i started by staining it with distress inks and sealed it by using crackle paint on the whole thing..

I stamped out three sparrows and four of the bigger flowers and two of the smaller ones...the bigger ones i doubled up and then i coated them all in a dimensional paste to give it body which i originally thought was clear but actually had a slight gold glitter effect to it.

I then glued them to the clock and waited for it all to dry and set and this is what i ended up with....hubby said straight away
 "thats for the sitting room"
so i now finally have a clock in my sitting room!

So thank you for visiting and if you want to know the actual colours etc use the contact form and i will let you know as this is all about INDIGO BLU

Thank you and hope to see you soon
